Three easy steps

How to get a second opinion

We made it as simple as possible
1.

Send your current quote

Send us a picture of Page 2 & 3 of your official Loan Estimate (LE) or fee sheet from your current lender.
2.

We audit the fees line-by-line

Our team will review the quote for hidden lender fees, excessive origination charges, or marked-up interest rates.
3.

Get an honest recommendation

If your current lender's quote is great: Stick with them! If we can save you thousands: We'll show you the exact numbers and handle the switch seamlessly if you decide to move forward.

Why get a second opinion?

Most lenders charge high origination fees because their loan officers work on standard commissions. At City Creek Mortgage, our team is paid a regular salary. Our only incentive is to find you the best deal.

Frequently asked questions
open question Will requesting a second opinion hurt my credit score?
No! Mortgage credit inquiries within a 14-to-45-day window count as a single inquiry on your credit score. Shopping for the best mortgage rate will not penalize your credit.
open question What specific page of the Loan Estimate should I send?
Page 2 is the most critical page because it breaks down the closing cost details, including lender fees (Section A) and services you cannot shop for (Section B). That’s where hidden markups usually hide.
open question Is it too late to switch lenders if I’m already under contract?
Not at all. As long as you aren’t closing in the next few days, our streamlined loan process allows us to close loans in as little as 14 days.
