How do you choose another lender over your agent’s recommendation?

I well honestly we were nervous about choosing another lender other than the one that our agent recommended for a number of reasons one we didn't want to mess up getting our dream house and we didn't want to offend our agent no and we thought that we might because this is the person that they're telling us to go to so obviously it's the best right or at least this is the person they think is going to be the best for us instead we found in the end that we got a better rate we had a better experience and we ended up getting a better house
