30 Mar In The Life Of Mike
My son, Austin, recently received a phone call from the 12 year old little brother of one of his friends. Knowing that my son plays varsity lacrosse, this young boy asked if he would spend some time helping him practice for try-outs for his Lacrosse team later that day. As I firmly believe in the importance of having mentors in your life, I was proud to hear my son say he would love to spend time teaching him. When Austin came home later that night he told me how much he enjoyed sharing his knowledge and skill and how he plans to continue to help him throughout the season. We talked about the value of having mentors in your life as well as being a mentor to others. That day my son learned the power of both. It is never too early to find a mentor and never too late to be one.
